2012 - 2013 Board of Directors:

Sarah Crawford, CMCA®, AMS®, PCAM® is serving her second term as the UCCAI Board President. She is a Senior Manager with FCS Community Management, a full service community management company and Utah’s only Accredited Association Management Company (AAMC©).  Sarah currently manages a portfolio of developer controlled and transitioning communities along the Wasatch front, while also assisting with internal development and marketing. Sarah graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a B.A. in International Studies/French in 2004. She began in this industry in 2006 as a portfolio manager in Arizona and has been managing in Utah since 2008. Sarah can be reached at mailto:sarahc@hoaliving.com

Peter H. Harrison is an attorney at Vial Fotheringham LLP. His practice focuses on General HOA Representation, Construction Defect Litigation, and Collections. Peter’s represents HOA’s in a variety of capacities and loves the diversity of issues that he faces in his practice. Peter has spoken regularly at UCCAI events, as well as at Vial Fotheringham educational seminars. Peter graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration, from the University of Utah in 2003. Peter received a JD from Willamette University College of Law in 2006. In his free time Peter enjoys travelling, golfing, basketball, attending sporting events, and cooking. Carrie Bohnsack is Director of Communication/Marketing at the restoration contractor Class One Disaster Recovery. Her company, a UCCAI gold sponsor, specializes in HOA claims, offering a variety of risk management tools to help prevent and minimize property damage. She has also served as the secretary and insurance committee chairperson on her former HOA Board. Prior to working at Class One, Carrie has worked as the senior media relations specialist at Utah Transit Authority, as an investigative producer for the popular ‘Get Gephardt’ series on KUTV 2News, a TV news reporter for the NBC affiliate in Idaho, as well as having worked in college as a TV news producer at KSL TV, a videographer for the Utah Jazz, Utah Grizzlies, and NBC for the 2002 Winter Olympics. She has also served as the president of the Utah Chapter of the Public Information Officer’s Association. Jerry Jensen is a Community manager who has been in the industry since 1986. He is the previous owner of Association Management Services in Mesquite Nevada and the current owner of Community Association Management, which serves Southern Utah. He has a Bachelor Degree in Business Management and another Bachelor Degree in Accounting. Both of his degrees are from Brigham Young University. He is married to a wonderful wife, DeeAnn, has four children and five grandchildren. He has been a member of CAI since 1990 and served on the first Utah CAI Chapter Board. Robert W. “Bob” Baird, P.E., MBA, CMCA is the founder and owner of his own privately held corporation with interests in consulting and investments. Bob spent much of his early career as a mining engineer helping to build large lignite mines in North Dakota, and was involved in an BOARD OF DIRECTORS CHAPTER EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR impressive turn around at what was then the country’s largest underground coal mine in the Ohio River Valley. Bob also gained experience in oil and gas production, uranium mine development, surface copper mining, and the securities industry. After graduating from Business School, Bob accepted a position with McKinsey & Co. in Australia where he worked for mining, electric utility, and insurance clients. He was also active in the firm’s organizational change practice. He was hired by one of his clients and managed the operations of a large surface mine and coal processing plant in Queensland, Australia. Later he moved to Gillette, Wyoming as General Manager – Technical Services, supporting five large mines in Wyoming, Montana and Colorado. After a few years in that role, Bob assumed worldwide responsibility for procurement of heavy mobile equipment, off road tires, and other high value items that can be sourced globally, on a whole-of-life cost basis. Bob holds a degree in Geological Engineering, from the Colorado School of Mines, a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, and has qualified as a Professional Engineer. He is married to Debbie and together they have two daughters. Bob has been a member and volunteer leader of Community Associations in North Dakota, West Virginia, and is currently serving as Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the Pepperwood Home Owners’ Association. Bèat Koszinowski, CIRMS, is an Insurance Executive at The Buckner Company, one of the largest independent insurance agencies in the Mountain West for over 70 years. Since joining the company in 2001 he has developed a sizable book with a specialty focus on condominium and HOA Insurance, apartment and large property risks, as well as providing counsel for many builders and developers on insurance and risk management issues. Prior to joining The Buckner Company, Béat, originally from Switzerland, obtained advanced degrees in Culinary Arts and Restaurant and Hotel Management. He then joined a major Swiss insurance company as an agent where gained considerable knowledge of underwriting, loss control and sales and marketing after undergoing their extensive educational program. Béat currently
handles a portfolio of over 7,200 HOA or Association related entities and deals with all aspects from underwriting to claims and everything in between. Béat is a Certified Insurance Counselor since 2004 and attained the Community Insurance Risk Management Specialist designation from the Community Association Institute in 2009, being one of only seven people nationally that year to attain such designation. He has been an active member of the Salt Lake Homebuilder Parade of Homes Judging Committee for the past 5 years. The Buckner Company specializes in insurance for the construction industry, trucking and transportation, homeowners associations, bonding and surety as well as many other niche markets. Andy Swanner is Vice President and Licensed General Contractor at SERVPRO of South Jordan/Draper a company specializing in fire and water cleanup and restoration. Originally from North Carolina where he started in the construction industry since 2002. He started in the restoration industry in 2006. He moved to Utah in 2010 to open SERVPRO of South Jordan/ Draper along with his brother. Outside of work, Andy enjoys woodworking, traveling, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, camping, and anything outdoors. Andy can be reached at aswanner@servpro9860.com


Chapter Executive Director:

Mindy Knudsen has a background in English, with a degree from Brigham Young University. She is married to Kevin Knudsen and lives in South Jordan, UT with their three daughters. Mindy has been affiliated with UCCAI for two years, first serving as the newsletter editor and overseeing a major revision. Second, Mindy became the Executive Director for the Legislative Action Committee and has spent the last year aiding the LAC in its endeavors to meet the legislative needs of Utah's communities. This is a position Mindy continues to hold as she works to further the interests of the Chapter on both the administrative and
legislative sides.
